im not a zionist i just go to a zionist camp bc i really like the people and the socialist aspect

kibbutzim are really cool

i have very very complex feelings on this issue

i absolutely hate the way the israeli government and many israelis treat palestinians

however as a jew who has relatives there i do feel some connection to the idea of a jewish state

I for sure advocate a 2 state solution at least and getting rid of those walls that separate palestine from israel and make it hard to access healthcare/ do business/ interact

i am definitely against theocracies

its really complicated and im pretty sure if i didnt have a personal connection (friends, family and ethnicity) i would be completely against it

i am very critical at my camp to the point where someone has called me an antisemite

i think maybe i just want to like israel because if i fully hated the idea of a jewish state i would have to quit my camp because i wouldnt feel ok about being at a camp whose political views i wholly disagree with and i love my camp
